Rafael Freitas, Servir IT Manager, affirms that what had led Servir into seeking a more adequate software to encounter their new needs was the company activities growth in the region. “The manual system based on tables was no longer compatible with the rapidness expected nor the new demands for a bigger budget for the whole process from purchasing raw material to the emission of invoices”, says the Servir IT Manager.

 

According to Mr. Freitas, in partnership with Teknisa, Servir can be benefited through the integration of the company's main sectors, from a simple purchase of raw material to the sale of the final product.   • Cost Reductions: With TecFood System, internal processes in the areas of purchase and warehouse have suffered significant improvements which have also made possible a reduction in production waste, a more efficient stock control, and a better cost control.
  • Process Reductions: The processes of negotiation, purchase, budget, administration, finance and stock that before were carried out using tables not always reflected the real situation of the company and for many times were found to be outdated. The TecFood System provides in a fast and updated way the last quotations, all the purchase that have been done as well as the one to be done, reflecting, therefore, the real state of the company.

Rafael talks about how Teknisa has helped the company to meet the market needs and its tendencies. “We see that Teknisa is committed to the current market demands, to the current legislation and yet to adequate the System to Servir's particularities, customizing reports and routines in order to cause the company's development. Whenever we think about the past we come to the conclusion that Servir needed to obtain information on production levels, and specific data in a fast and consistent way that would effectively reflect the company's current situation. It was very difficult to precisely calculate intermediate good quantities. Without a System assisting us, the calculation used to be a mere estimative that would result in many different failures. In some occasions, there would be a lot of intermediate good leftovers originating waste and consequent financial loss. In other occasions, there would be a lack of supplies which would make unsatisfied customers as they would not be served the quantity ordered. To solve the equation, we contacted Teknisa's consultants. The consultants presented and installed the TecFood Software which has been able to provide all the essential and decisive information for the company's management and its production processes that we may need at any time in a very agile and consistent way”.

 

As for future projects, Mr. Freitas concludes, "we plan to install the ForSale Software as the front of the Point of Sale in our branches trusting the fact that we will obtain positive results, as we based ourselves in the successful results we have already achieved by using TecFood".
